**23 Feb 2022**
Tasmania’s border requirements will change from 12.01am Saturday 26 February 2022. From that time, there will be no entry requirements for travellers entering Tasmania – regardless of vaccination status or where they have spent time prior to arrival. Current border restrictions remain in place until that time – that is requiring unvaccinated travellers to have prior approval to enter Tasmania. See [Coming to Tasmania](https://www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/travellers-and-visitors/coming-to-tasmania).
Additionally, the requirement for patrons and staff to be fully vaccinated to enter a pub, nightclub or bar will be removed from 12.01am Saturday 26 February 2022. From this time, there will be no vaccination requirements for either patrons or staff on these premises.
The requirement will also be removed from licensed events – except where Public Health identifies there is an increased risk of COVID-19 at specific events and vaccination is identified as a requirement to hold the event safely. This will be advised as part of the approval process under the Framework for COVID-19 Safe Events and Activities.
The current requirements remain in place until 12.01am 26 February 2022.
