# COVID Statement - RMIT University
> ## Excerpt
> As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues, RMIT remains committed to supporting our students and staff at home and overseas.
---
All Victorian RMIT campuses and locations are open and density limits no longer apply (except for standard venue and room capacity requirements).
However it's strongly recommended that you work or study from home, if you can.
Masks must be worn indoors at all times. It's recommended that you continue to wear a mask outdoors where you can't physically distance.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of our RMIT community and to minimise the risk of COVID-19, students attending campus are required to be fully vaccinated or provide evidence of a valid medical exemption.
Students must provide evidence of their vaccination status via the [Vaccination status documentation form](https://www.rmit.edu.au/content/rmit-ui/en/students/support-and-facilities/access-to-campus-vaccination-status-documentation.html) at least 24 hours before they need to attend campus to allow time for activation of their access card. Even if you aren't planning to attend campus yet, you can still upload your vaccination status.
Students who do not provide their vaccination status will not be able to attend campus.
Students must be fully vaccinated to continue to attend campus. This requirement will be in place from now and throughout the first semester until 30 June 2022.
Read the [vaccination requirements](http://www.rmit.edu.au/covid/vaccination) page and [frequently asked questions](https://www.rmit.edu.au/covid/faqs) for more information.
**Third dose of COVID vaccine**
The Victorian Government strongly encourages anyone eligible to receive their third dose (booster) of vaccination to do so as soon as possible. Bookings are available via the [RMIT](https://www.medicalhubrmit.com.au/covid-19-vaccine-book-online/) Medical Hub or by visiting a [State Vaccination Centre](https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/book-your-vaccine-appointment). Bookings may also be available via your GP or local pharmacy.
As the Victorian Government has announced a third COVID vaccination is likely to be required in the near future to be considered fully vaccinated, once you have had your third dose, we recommend you update your COVID 19 vaccination certificate and upload via the [Vaccination Status documentation form](https://rmit.service-now.com/connect?id=sc_cat_item&sys_id=71295a4fdb3f3410a8d6077cd396199f&_ga=2.90641372.753420131.1643587827-1277873081.1638159232).
From 15 December 2021, fully vaccinated eligible visa holders can travel to and from Australia without needing to apply for a travel exemption.
This is a positive and exciting development and we thank our international students who’ve remained patient and resilient during this time.
RMIT recognises the significant contribution international students make – not just to our University, but to the wider community and a diverse and inclusive Victoria.
We look forward to warmly welcoming them back into our RMIT community in Victoria.
